Troubleshoot “Download failed” error message in GravityZone Control Center

Issue

Sometimes due to Firewall or Content filtering solution in your network, you may not be able to download the installation kits (BEST (Windows), Bitdefender Endpoint Security Tools etc.) on the GravityZone On-Premises appliance, resulting in the following error message:

Solution

Follow the steps referenced in the index in the upper left side of the screen in the order that they are presented.

Check Connectivity

To make sure that the download is done properly, check if anything from your environment blocks the connectivity between the Update Server appliance and download.bitdefender.com.

You can find the list of ports and addresses that need to be whitelisted under GravityZone Communication Ports.

Check Update Server Settings

Verify if the Update Server settings are correct, specifically if Packages address is accurate, by following the below steps:

  1. Log in to GravityZone Control Center

  2. Go to Configuration > Update > Components > Settings

  3. Check the Packages Address

    The correct address is:

    • download.bitdefender.com/SMB/Hydra/release

      or

    • https://download.bitdefender.com/SMB/Hydra/release

  4. Click Save

  5. Try to republish the kit
